The short version
- No account needed. We use one cookie to remember your player, and that's it: no ad trackers.
- We only have your email if you give it to us (daily email or a purchase).
- We don't sell your data.
What we collect
- A player ID cookie. A random ID that keeps your runs, name and coins together on this device. It's needed for the game to work.
- Game data. Your runs, bets, flips, scores, friend matches and the result cards you generate.
- Your display name, if you set one.
- Your email, if you join the daily email or when you pay (Stripe passes us the email used at checkout).
- Custom coin images, if you upload them.
- Purchase records: what you bought, the amount and date. Card details go to Stripe; we never see them.
- A scrambled network ID. To stop people grabbing many ranked runs, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address mixed with the date. It can't be turned back into your IP.
What's public
Your display name, coin and scores show on leaderboards and in friend matches. Runs you share (and their result cards) can be seen by anyone with the link. Custom coins are shown to others only after review.
How we use it
- To run the game, leaderboards, friend matches and shared result pages.
- To send the daily email if you joined. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To deliver and restore purchases, and handle refunds.
- To prevent cheating and abuse.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run DailyFlip for us: Cloudflare (hosting and database), Stripe (payments) and our email provider (daily emails). We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. If we add ads in future, we'll update this page first and ask for consent where the law requires it. Players who've bought a coin won't see ads.
How long we keep it
Game data is kept while DailyFlip runs so leaderboards and shared links keep working. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for accounting and tax. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email.
- Email hello@coinflipdaily.com to see, correct or delete your data (include your player name and email if you have one).
- Clearing your browser's cookies starts you as a new player.
Kids
DailyFlip isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us their email, contact us and we'll delete it.
